GIANLUCA APRICENO
Research Interests: Temporal Reasoning; Neuro-Symbolic Integration; Event Recognition; Ontology Design; Multi-Modal Knowledge Graphs.
Bio: Gianluca Apriceno obtained his M.Sc. in Computer Science in 2019 from the University of Trento. Following graduation, he began his Ph.D. at Trento under the supervision of Professor Luciano Serafini, head of the Data Management Group (DKM) at FBK, and Professor Andrea Passerini, head of the Structure Machine Learning group (SML) at the Department of Information and Engineering (DISI) at the University of Trento. He defended his thesis titled "End-to-End Neuro-Symbolic Approaches for Event Recognition" in October 2023. Currently, he works as a researcher in the Intelligent Digital Agents (IDA) group led by Mauro Dragoni at the Digital Health and Wellbeing Center (DHWB) of FBK. His research interests include temporal reasoning, neuro-symbolic integration, event recognition, ontology design, and multi-modal knowledge graphs.Â
